Python Institute Attends EuroSciPy 2023

EuroSciPy is the European Conference of Scientific Python. The idea behind it is to bring together both users and developers of scientific tools. The event is a great learning and networking opportunity for programmers, academics, researchers, students, and forward-thinking industry leaders. As a cross-disciplinary gathering, it is focused on the use and development of the Python language in scientific research. It is also an opportunity for maintainers of scientific packages to meet, work together, exchange ideas, and show their work to the community.
The conference includes tutorials for beginners and a lot of lectures on advanced topics, as well as time for the participants to showcase their projects. An important part of EuroSciPy is also sprints - sessions where maintainers and contributors (including first-time contributors) meet and work together on open source projects. Sprints are a great way to get started in open-source development, learn, and meet like-minded people.
The 15th EuroSciPy conference was held in Basel, for the second time. Next year's location is yet to be announced, but we can tell you that OpenEDG is joining the organizer's team. We want to be a part of this event to promote Python, especially for academic purposes.
